Elgydium Toothbrush Clinic 7/100 Ultra Soft Clinical Toothbrush 1pc

The ELGYDIUM Clinic 7/100 toothbrush is specially designed for post-operative care. Its texture is as soft as silk and this makes it suitable for use after extractions, surgeries in the oral cavity, implants and in general for places where our gums are very irritated or injured.

What is tooth sensitivity?

Tooth sensitivity is a problem that affects about 30% of the adult population. It is characterized by short and sharp pain in contact with hot, cold, sour and sweet, and is due to the stripping of the dental tubules after enamel erosion and receding gums.

Tooth sensitivity can be seen after surgery, after cleaning at the dentist, after whitening, from using a hard toothbrush or toothpaste with a high abrasive coefficient.

What is dental plaque, what is calculus and what are their differences?

After taking a meal, a soft, amorphous mass called microbial dental plaque forms on the dental surfaces from food residues.

Plaque initially has a soft texture and can be removed with proper regular brushing. If left, it gradually becomes colonized by microbes, increases in quantity and density, acquires a harder consistency, and finally the so-called tartar (or tartar) is formed. Tartar, once formed, can only be removed by the dentist.

Depending on the species, type and amount of bacteria present in our mouth and forming the plaque, we have:
• the bacteria that cause caries,
• the bacteria that cause gum problems.

In conclusion, it is extremely important to brush our teeth daily to remove plaque and prevent tartar from forming.
