Class I tights and varicose veins
Varicose veins are caused by twisted and dilated veins near the surface of the skin. It is a condition that most often occurs in the legs and ankles. It is usually not serious, but can sometimes lead to other problems. Normally, the valves in your veins ensure good blood flow from your feet to your heart. When these valves do not work properly, blood collects in your legs and puts pressure on them.
Symptoms of varicose veins
Varicose veins are dark blue in color and are accompanied by swelling in the affected area. Mild symptoms of varicose veins may include:
Feeling of “burning” in the legs in combination with pain and fatigue. The symptoms may be more severe after prolonged standing.
Swelling in the legs and ankles.
Itching over the vein.
Varicose veins are common and are usually not a sign of a serious problem. However, in some cases, varicose veins can be a sign of venous thrombosis.
Ways to treat varicose veins
Wear compression stockings.
When sitting, support your legs in an elevated position.
Avoid long periods of standing and try to walk at regular intervals even for 1-2 minutes.
