Description – mode of action

Serenoa extract is made from the brown berries of the saw palmetto plant, which thrives primarily in the southeastern United States.

Saw palmetto has been used for centuries to treat prostate problems.

According to a 1993 report in Germany, 90% of patients suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia are given natural therapeutic substances, and 50% of German urologists prefer the administration of herbal extracts over synthetic pharmaceuticals. Of all the herbs, saw palmetto is the most widely used.
