B-COMPLEX FORMULA is a food supplement containing B vitamins, inositol and para-aminobenzoic acid. These ingredients contribute to the normal functioning of metabolic processes aimed at energy production, protecting cells from oxidative stress and reducing tiredness and fatigue.
Cellular metabolism depends on the B complex of vitamins. Each member of complex B has either coenzyme activity for important metabolic processes or is a precursor form needed to make a coenzyme.
VITAMINS B
- B1 (thiamine) is the necessary coenzyme for the metabolism of carbohydrates and also for the production of acetylcholine.
- (B2) riboflavin is a precursor form for the creation of coenzymes after first being converted into its bioactive form (riboflavin 5-phosphate) to be used by the body. Vitamin B2 in the form of riboflavin 5-phosphate serves as a component of prosthetic groups (FAD and FMN) of flavoproteins that take part in oxidation-reduction reactions in numerous metabolic pathways, as well as in energy production through the respiratory chain.
- B3 (niacin), is a precursor form for the creation of coenzymes and plays an important role in energy transfer reactions for the metabolism of sugars, fats and alcohol.
- B5 (pantothenic acid) is a precursor form for the production of coenzyme A which is needed for the metabolism of many molecules, e.g. amino acids, fatty acids, phospholipids, etc.
- B6 (pyridoxine) in the form of pyridoxine 5-phosphate is an important coenzyme for decarboxylation (deamination of amino acids, e.g. 5-hydroxy-tryptophan to serotonin, coenzyme in transamination reactions (the body supplies non-essential amino acids).
- B9 (folic acid) interacts with B12 to synthesize DNA which is a necessary component for all cells in the body.
- B12 (methylcobalamin) which is its active form, is the necessary coenzyme for the processing of carbohydrates, proteins and fats
and participates in erythropoiesis. It is also needed for the maintenance of nerve sheaths.
- B8 (inositol) is an important intermediate key element of second messengers, but also a dominant component of phospholipids of cell membranes involved in many biological processes.
All strains of the B vitamin group work synergistically and a key feature in Doctors formulas B-Complex formula is that it contains all the B vitamins.
They contribute to the normal functioning of metabolic processes aimed at energy production, protecting cells from oxidative stress and reducing tiredness and fatigue.
