Hansaplast Aqua Protect MED XXL dressings are sterile wound dressings that provide waterproof protection for medium and larger wounds, and are also suitable for wounds after minor surgeries.

With the waterproof, flexible body and strong adhesive, these pads are ideal for use in the bathroom at home or at sea and for work that requires contact with water. The large size pad gauze contains antibacterial silver for the best possible healing conditions.

1. Cleaning
Cleaning the wound of dirt and bacteria is the necessary first step for optimal healing. To prevent wound infections, spray the Hansaplast Wound Cleansing Spray from a distance of about 10cm, over the entire wound area. Repeat if necessary and then gently wipe the wound and the area of skin around the wound with the sterile gauze.

Important : In small wounds the bleeding stops soon. If bleeding continues, use additional gauze, maintain pressure, and seek medical attention.

2. Protection
Next, it is important to protect the wound from external factors such as dirt and bacteria so that healing can proceed without complications. Cover the wound with the sterile Hansaplast wound gauze that best suits your needs. Monitor the wound and change the pad or gauze daily, unless otherwise advised by your doctor.
