Coenzyme Q10 is also known as ubiquinone or ubidecarenone. It is a lipid-soluble substance, present in most eukaryotic cells and located mainly in the mitochondria. It is a component involved in the electron transport chain, aerobic cellular respiration and energy production in the form of ATP.
